Day 1: Arrival to hostel
Arrival to the community of San Ramón de Río Blanco, where you can enjoy lunch at Rancho Guayacán. You can take a one and a half hour hike to reach Posada Rural Cerro Escondido.
In the afternoon you can leave your mark by planting a tree and listening to the talk on conservation efforts of ASEPALECO.
After dinner you can take a night tour on one of the trails near the hostel and observe the green frogs with the red eyes.
Day 2: Swim in the waterfall!
Early in the morning you can enjoy a trip to observe birds. On your return breakfast will be waiting for you to then later take an hour hike through the rain forest to the waterfall Velo de Novia, You will have time to swim in the natural pools.
Lunch this day will be picnic style, wrapped in banana leaves which you can enjoy on the banks of the river. In the afternoon in the company of the local guide you will visit Biological Station and return to the hostel in time for dinner typical of the zone.
Day 3: Continue with your next destiny!
After breakfast take a hike to Montaña Grande where you can observe the Gulf of Nicoya, on your return enjoy lunch at the home of a peasant family that is a part of ASEPALECO.
Please note that if clients travel in their own cars the round trip is by different places. They must contemplate and modify the trail entrance and exit or quote a transfer from Montaña Grande to San Ramón de Río Blanco.
